Job Title: Claims Representative/Administrative Support/Customer Service
This position will report directly to the Office Manager and the Claims Manager. The primary duties for this position are providing administrative support to the Claims Department and Claims Manager. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: provide support by answering claims inquiries from plan members and providers; perform data entry as it pertains to the Claims Department and Customer Service.
General Duties:
Provide general office support for the Office Manager/Administration by assisting with important project assignments i.e. (proposals, etc.). Perform word processing support including spreadsheets, presentations, reports and other documents. Professionally answers telephone calls, responding to routine questions, screening calls, taking accurate messages and rerouting calls when appropriate. Possess excellent communication and customer service skills; attention to detail and focus on accuracy; strong team player; ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and readily adapt to changes in the office.
As a member of the Claims Department Team, Claims Representative will take instruction from the Claims Manager and follow established guidelines by the company and the Manager. Employee will perform the following tasks on a daily basis.
* Data entry

* Front-line telephone support to patients and providers
* Respond to inquiries regarding benefits, claims, referral procedures, services
* Maintain accurate and current records of all inquiries and follow-up as needed
* Document and report all complaints and perceived problems

* Work in Window-based environment
* Maintain pleasant disposition when handling member and providers
* Receive customer service skills training

* Able to think on one's feet
* Able to meet production requirements (# of calls per hour)
* Knowledge of medical terminology
Other Duties Assigned:
Maintain a neat and organized office. Order supplies, and accept deliveries, copy, fax and perform general office duties.

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour
