Technical User Rep. Specialist – Entry Level Information Technology
The Specialist position involves working in all phases of the project life-cycle of
UPS shipping clients in order to ensure the success of new features and
enhancements. The employee will interact with marketing, business development,
requirements analysts, software developers, QA testers, technical support, billing,
and sales on a regular basis and must be able to meet the needs of each of them.
The position involves analysis and review of all product documentation, including
requirements, technical specifications, GUI specifications, and test cases, as well
as support documentation for both customers and UPS technical support. The
employee must be able to anticipate problems and develop risk mitigation
plans during all phases of the project, and communicate issues to management.
Knowledge and Skills:
Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software
GUI Design – Beginner
TeamTrack – Beginner
Microsoft Office – Intermediate
Ability to manage & complete multiple tasks with minimal oversight
Ability to analyze issues and make decisions based on multiple information sources
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or
related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience is required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in in Business, Marketing, IT or equivalent work experience
Relatives who work for UPS or any of its subsidiares.
U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for
permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Experience with MicroSoft Office
OTHER CRITERIA:
Employer will not sponsor visas for position.
